SBI CBO Vacancy 2025: Circle-wise Distribution
A total of 2,600 regular vacancies and 364 backlog vacancies have been announced across various circles such as Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai Metro, Bhopal, Chennai, and others.
Each candidate can apply for only one circle, and selection will be based on that circle only. No inter-circle transfer is allowed before 12 years of service or promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever is later.
SBI CBO 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 30.04.2025):
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Integrated Dual Degree, Engineering, CA, or equivalent qualifications are also eligible.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
Age Limit:
- 21 to 30 years (i.e. born between 01.05.1995 and 30.04.2004).
- Age relaxation applies to reserved categories as per government rules.
SBI CBO 2025 Selection Process
The recruitment process involves four phases:
- Online Written Test (Objective + Descriptive)
- Screening of Experience & Documents
- Interview (50 Marks)
- Local Language Proficiency Test
Online Written Test Pattern:
Objective Test (120 Marks – 2 Hours)
- English Language – 30 Qs (30 mins)
- Banking Knowledge – 40 Qs (40 mins)
- General Awareness/Economy – 30 Qs (30 mins)
- Computer Aptitude – 20 Qs (20 mins)
Descriptive Test (50 Marks – 30 Minutes)
- Letter Writing & Essay (2 questions)

Local Language Test
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the chosen circle. Those who have studied the language in Class 10 or 12 are exempted from the test.
SBI CBO Salary 2025
- Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- + 2 advance increments
- Gross Monthly Salary: Approx ₹75,000 – ₹80,000 including DA, HRA, CCA, medical, pension (NPS), etc.
